Bay Area home services contractors

Home services marketing that catches the 11pm emergency call.

I have dispatched late-night service teams. I know the difference between a customer who calls at 11pm because they need help and one who calls because they want the cheapest quote. Most HVAC, plumbing, and electrical contractors are buried under chain operators on local search. We rebuild the trade-specific page, the GBP signal, and the dispatch funnel so the homeowner with a flooded basement at 11pm calls you, not the franchise three submarkets away.

Starting at $3,000 for the Emergency Booking Sprint. 30 to 45 days.

Sprint built for Bay Area HVAC, plumbing, and electrical contractors doing $1M to $10M in annual revenue.

Built by Eric Lee. 16 years F&B operations, $54M+ in annual P&L managed across BCD Tofu House, Gen Korean Barbecue, Sake2Me Sushi, and Obaba Fresh. Stateside team. Bay Area onsite for kickoff.

Five problems we see on every home services contractor we audit.

01

No trade-specific pages

Your site has a single Services page covering HVAC, plumbing, and electrical. None of those terms rank because the page tries to sell three trades at once. Customers searching "emergency plumber" at 11pm scroll past you to the contractor with a dedicated emergency-plumbing page.

02

License and bond not displayed

Customers searching for emergency work want to see your license number, your bond, and your insurance status above the fold. If they have to scroll or click a separate page, they bounce to the competitor whose homepage says "licensed, bonded, insured" in the header.

03

No after-hours dispatch promise

Customer at 11pm with a burst pipe wants a real promise: "we answer the phone 24/7" or "we will dispatch within 90 minutes." If your site says "contact us during business hours," they call the contractor whose site says "call now, on-call tech ready."

04

Yelp dominates because GBP is stale

Most Bay Area emergency-service searches still land on Yelp because GBP categories, services, and photos are stale. Customers see the Yelp profile first, see your competitor with 4.9 stars at the top, call them instead.

05

No financing options shown

$4,000 furnace replacement, $6,000 panel upgrade, $3,500 sewer line replacement. Most customers cannot write that check today. If your page does not show financing options, your competitor with the Synchrony or GreenSky widget wins the call.

Who this is built for.

  • Bay Area HVAC, plumbing, or electrical contractors doing $1M to $10M in annual revenue
  • Owner-operator shops without a dedicated marketing person
  • Contractors competing against franchise operators (Mr. Rooter, Roto-Rooter, ARS) on local search
  • Service-area businesses (no storefront) serving multiple Bay Area submarkets
  • Contractors in Peninsula, South Bay, or East Bay corridors

New Patient Growth Sprint, fixed fee

Emergency Booking Sprint, $3,000.

Pick ONE trade path (HVAC, plumbing, or electrical) and we build the conversion-focused page plus the GBP and local SEO that surfaces it for both emergency and scheduled-service searches. Cross-mentions for other trades are allowed in supporting copy. The page sells one trade outcome.

What's included.

  • One conversion-focused trade page (your chosen path)
  • Emergency request form with SMS notifications to your dispatch number
  • Mobile optimization (tap-to-call, click-to-text, sticky header with phone)
  • License, bond, insurance, and emergency-response promise above the fold
  • GBP service list cleanup: correct categories, services, service areas, hours, photos
  • Local SEO targeting "[city] emergency [trade]" plus scheduled-service terms
  • Financing block (Synchrony, GreenSky, or your existing partner)
  • Review request system with QR cards and SMS templates
  • Call and form tracking

What's not included.

  • Dispatch software changes (we connect to what you use)
  • On-call scheduling for your team
  • Paid ads (Google Local Service Ads is a separate retainer)
  • Permit-pull automation

Fixed price. Fixed timeline (30 to 45 days). No retainer required. Add Maintenance after, or don't.

After the Sprint: monthly maintenance.

Recommended for home services contractors: Standard Maintenance, $397/mo.

Standard Maintenance after the Sprint covers ongoing GBP Posts (2 per month with seasonal service hooks like HVAC tune-ups and drain-cleaning specials), review responses (up to 10 per month), citation health checks, and one site update per month. Most contractors stay here long-term.

What this looks like in practice.

Real outcome bands vary by location, trade, and season. What we can defend: a Peninsula plumbing contractor moved from roughly 6 emergency inquiries per month (mostly Yelp) to a tracked GBP-plus-page flow with documented monthly velocity in the first 90 days. We rebuilt the emergency plumbing page, fixed the GBP, displayed the license prominently, and added the SMS review request. Your numbers will depend on your trade, your dispatch response time, and your competitive set.

Why an operator runs your home services contractor marketing.

Eric has run service operations at scale across BCD Tofu House, Gen Korean Barbecue, Sake2Me Sushi, and Obaba Fresh. That means we know how dispatch actually works at midnight, why most "online inquiry forms" go to an email address nobody checks at 2am, and how to write the auto-reply that keeps the homeowner from calling the competitor while they wait for your callback. Most agencies write contractor pages for businesses they have never dispatched from. We have run the late-night line.

Home services contractor reviews

What Bay Area home services contractors say.

★★★★★

"We were getting buried by Roto-Rooter on every emergency search. SEOD rebuilt the emergency plumbing page, put the license number above the fold, and cleaned the GBP. Emergency inquiries went from a couple a week to a few a day inside 90 days. We have not raised the ad budget."

Plumbing contractor, San Mateo

★★★★★

"Spring tune-up season used to be all phone-tag. SEOD set up the booking form with SMS notification and a tune-up special. Our techs are booked solid through April for the first time in four years."

HVAC contractor, San Jose

★★★★★

"Panel upgrade inquiries used to land in a generic contact form that I checked once a day. SEOD set up the financing block, the autoresponder, and the SMS notification so I see new inquiries in five minutes. Three-quarters of estimates now book on the first call."

Electrician, Walnut Creek

Questions Bay Area home services contractors ask.

Which trade path should I pick for the Sprint?

Pick the trade with the highest emergency-call volume and the weakest competitor pages on local search. For most contractors that is the trade where Yelp dominates. We will audit your GBP, your three closest competitors, and your call logs on the consult and recommend the path.

Can you guarantee emergency calls?

No. We cannot promise specific call volume because seasonality (cold snap, heat wave, sewer-line season), local competition, and your dispatch response time drive that. What we can defend: a clean trade-specific page, current GBP signals, and a published 24/7 promise typically produce a measurable lift in tracked inquiries within 60 to 90 days.

Do you do Google Local Service Ads?

Not in the Sprint. LSA is its own thing (background-check requirement, ad-account management, lead disputes). If you want LSA on top of the Sprint, that lives on the Get Busy tier ($1,997/mo) or as a separate retainer. Ad spend is always billed direct to your card.

What about pricing on the page?

We will push for a published range on the most common service calls (drain clearing, faucet replacement, AC tune-up). Customers searching at 11pm want to know whether you are in their budget. If you refuse to publish ranges, we will build the page without them. You will be leaving inquiries on the table.

What if I serve multiple cities or counties?

Standard. We build the trade page once and add city-modifier service-area pages (e.g., "emergency plumbing San Mateo") in the Maintenance phase. The Sprint covers one core page. City pages roll out in Maintenance months 2 through 6, three to four per month.

Do you require a 12-month contract?

No. The Sprint is a one-time fixed fee. Maintenance is month-to-month with 30 days notice. Cancel anytime.
