Privacy policy.
We don't sell your data. We don't run behavior analytics on you. This page explains exactly what we do collect, and why, in plain English.
1. Who we are.
SEOD is a sole-proprietor marketing and operations agency based in the San Francisco Bay Area. For privacy questions, email eric@seod.com.
2. What we collect.
- Contact form submissions: name, email, phone, and the message you send us. This goes directly to Eric's email inbox.
- Analytics: we use privacy-respecting analytics (no cross-site tracking, no personally identifiable data) to understand how people use this site. Typical data: pages visited, approximate country, device type.
- Client data (during engagements): business performance data you share with us (P&L, POS reports, ad account access, etc.). We use this only to do the work you hired us to do.
3. What we do not do.
- Sell or share your contact information with anyone.
- Serve third-party advertising cookies.
- Run behavioral tracking across other sites.
- Store form submissions in a third-party CRM beyond what's described below.
4. Service providers we use.
We use the following third-party services to operate this site:
- Formspree — processes contact form and newsletter submissions on our behalf and forwards them to Eric's email. Formspree's privacy policy: formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.
- SiteGround — hosts the website. Server logs (IP, request time, page) are retained per their standard policy.
- Google Fonts — serves the typefaces. Google may log the IP that requests the font file.
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other behavioral-tracking tools on this site.
5. Cookies.
This site does not set cookies of its own. If you view this site through embedded third-party content (YouTube, Google Maps, etc.), those providers may set cookies under their own policies.
6. How long we keep data.
Contact form submissions are kept in Eric's email indefinitely unless you ask us to delete them. Active client engagement data is kept for the duration of the engagement plus 7 years (for tax / legal purposes). You can request deletion of any data we hold about you at any time by emailing eric@seod.com.
7. Your rights (California).
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and sell about you (we don't sell).
- Request deletion of your personal information.
- Opt out of the sale of your personal information (we don't sell).
- Non-discrimination for exercising these rights.
To exercise any of these rights, email eric@seod.com. We'll respond within 45 days.
8. Children's privacy.
This site is not intended for users under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
9. Changes to this policy.
If we make material changes, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will also be communicated to active clients by email.
